Review of Activities

The Association directly represents practically all of the audio-visual producers in the world, not only by ex lege legitimacy with regard to the rights which are managed and by those which are derived from the Intellectual Property Law, but, rather, directly, due to its membership in AGICOA, the "Association of International Collective Management of Audiovisual Works", based in Geneva, and to the mutual representation agreements signed by EGEDA with foreign rights management and producers’ associations, as shown in Chapter 4.12 (International Relations) of the EGEDA Annual Report.

The documentation requested from the producers of audio-visual works and recordings covers everything necessary for the identification, accreditation and ownership of the works and recordings under consideration, with great attention to detail.

Once the producer decides to join EGEDA, normally as a result of the information provided by the Association, he/she is sent a series of informative documents which expand on the activities carried out by EGEDA.

This information package consists of a copy of the By-laws, Annual Reports of EGEDA activities and various publications, such as newsletters, along with an explanation of the steps to follow in order to join the Association, which are:

1. Membership Application Letter, following the model document referred to in Article 10 of the Association’s By-laws

2. Photocopy of deed of incorporation or certification of registration with the proper business Registry

3. Photocopy of the deed of delegation of authority related to the person signing the application letter

4. Photocopy of card bearing the tax ID number, or personal ID number in the case of individual persons

5. List of audio-visual works, circulated or not, specifying the percentages of ownership in the case of co-productions, in Spain as well as in other countries.

6. Technical details and cast of the works (following the model sent by EGEDA)

7. Accrediting Documentation of ownership.

In the same manner, EGEDA will send the following for completion:
